8:30 – On Friday, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled against the federal government’s environmental Impact Assessment Act, formerly Bill C-69. The move found that the act’s projects exceeded the bounds of federal jurisdiction, a move being applauded by the Saskatchewan government. The province’s Minister of Justice, Bronwyn Eyre, joins Gormley to share why.

10:00 – The situation in Richmound continues with the self-proclaimed “Queen of Canada” and her followers unwilling to leave the Saskatchewan village. It is now more than a week since the RCMP’s mobile command unit established itself in the village for safety purposes. The RCMP’s Tyler Bates joins Gormley to discuss what’s happening in the community and what transpired over the weekend.

11:00 – A new book just released uses detailed research to make the surprising case that former Canadian Prime Minister, John Diefenbaker, has been treated unfairly by history. Author John Ibbitson asserts that Canadians need to both understand Diefenbaker and another former Prime Minister, Lester Pearson, to understand modern Canada as it is today. Ibbitson joins Gormley to make that case ahead of his book signing in Saskatoon.
