Residents in Prince Albert’s Midtown area can now say they’ve seen it all.
Early Wednesday morning, a herd of horses was seen running westbound.
Debra Despins, general manager of the Prince Albert Exhibition Association, confirmed the animals escaped from a fenced-in area on the fairgrounds.
“The good news is they’ve been safely caught and are back on the grounds,” she said.
Obviously a startling sight for residents in Prince Albert’s midtown area. Good news is the horses have been rounded up and there were no injuries reported. Video credit goes to Audriana McCague. @princealbertnow pic.twitter.com/NlaodBlIOM

Acknowledging it would have been a big task to gather the horses, Despins explained they do have some very talented professional chuckwagon racers who are very knowledgeable about how to handle horses and large animals.
“I personally wasn’t there to see it but I know it would have been quite a chore to do,” she said.
There weren’t any injuries reported.
Reaction on the Prince Albert Midtown Neighbourhood Watch Facebook group was mostly light-hearted, with one person commenting that at least it happened before morning rush hour, and another saying they thought they were seeing things when they looked at their security camera footage.
