The Saskatchewan Liberal Party is getting a facelift and putting a spotlight on progress.
A new name and brand have transformed the former Saskatchewan Liberal Party into the Saskatchewan Progress Party.
The party said its new look and logo will emphasize its commitment to serve citizens of Saskatchewan and be accountable to the people.
“The swirl symbolizes the force that brings people together to unite the province beyond divisive politics,” Saskatchewan Progress Party Leader Jeff Walters said in a news release.
“We want to build a bright future that sees all people of Saskatchewan working together to make our province a place to call home.”
The Saskatchewan Progress Party has planned to meet with the people across the province to listen to their concerns. In October, a convention will be held to review and build on its current policies, with the goal to create a better life for Saskatchewan residents.
“It’s time,” said Walters. “If we aim to modernize and bring the province into the future, we must be willing to do the same.”
The Saskatchewan Liberal Party has not held a seat in the provincial legislature since 2003.
