A 49-year-old man is facing charges after an incident that left a man and his dog hurt.
On Monday, the RCMP said officers from the Milestone detachment responded Friday at about 3:45 a.m., to a call about an assault in Briercrest. Police allege a man rammed an occupied camper-trailer with a truck and then fired a gun at the camper.
The RCMP release said the sole occupant of the camper and his dog were hurt. The man told police his injuries weren’t life-threatening and his dog had been treated by a veterinary.
Police investigated and arrested a man in Claybank at about 11:10 a.m. He was charged with discharging a firearm with intent, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, mischief over $5,000, and causing an animal to suffer.
He’s to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Sept. 13.
