The Saskatchewan Roughriders are back from a bye.
Saskatchewan plays host to the Edmonton Elks on Thursday, 7 p.m., at Mosaic Stadium. The Roughriders haven’t played a CFL game since June 24, when they beat the host Calgary Stampeders 29-26 in overtime.
Saskatchewan enjoyed its first bye week of the season last week.
The Green and White has a 2-1-0 record entering its second contest of the season against Edmonton. Saskatchewan won the previous meeting 17-13 on June 11 in the first week of the regular season.
The Roughriders displayed a balanced offensive attack in Calgary. Tailback Jamal Morrow rushed 22 times for 133 yards against the Stampeders, while quarterback Trevor Harris completed 20 of 30 pass attempts for 275 yards.
Saskatchewan’s defence recorded three interceptions against the Stamps, with Larry Dean, Rolan Milligan and Nic Marshall each picking off Jake Maier. Marshall’s pick in the end zone in overtime sealed the Riders’ victory.
