The Regina Pats and Saskatoon Blades will resume their rivalry to open the Pats’ 2023-24 regular-season home schedule.
The Blades eliminated the Pats from the 2023 WHL playoffs, winning a best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal in seven games.
The Pats are to open their regular-season schedule on Sept. 22 against the host Brandon Wheat Kings before returning to Regina to face the Blades on Sept. 23.
Game time at the Brandt Centre is set for 7 p.m.
It’s the first time since the 2006-07 season that the Pats will entertain Saskatoon in their home opener, and the 14th time since 1970.
Saskatoon is to open its home schedule Sept. 24 against the Prince Albert Raiders. Puck drop is set for 4 p.m.
The WHL has yet to release the complete 2023-24 regular-season schedule.
