Mounties in North Battleford are still investigating an alleged abduction attempt, and released a sketch of the suspect on Thursday.
Police said a teen girl was walking down 110th Street near St. Laurent Drive on Tuesday when a man in a black Mazda CX5 SUV called out to her and offered her money. The RCMP said the girl kept walking, and the man tried to grab her after she’d moved down the street. She reportedly ran for help, and the man took off in the SUV.
“Investigators have canvassed the areas of 13th Avenue and 110th Street and have collected security footage from the area,” the RCMP said in a statement.
The suspect was described as an older Caucasian man, standing about 5-foot-6 with grey, thinning hair and a white beard.
An RCMP sketch artist put together a drawing of the suspect, and police asked anyone who recognizes the suspect — or has information that could help the case — to contact the Battlefords RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
