It’s been 21 years since Donna Marie Kasyon was stabbed to death in Saskatoon, and police are still trying to find her killer.
The Saskatoon Police Service issued a media release Thursday renewing its request for the public’s help in solving Kasyon’s murder.
“The investigation into this historical homicide remains open,” the release said. “No suspects have been arrested but investigators believe members of the public may have information helpful in solving the case.”
On June 15, 2002, police were called to the 3100 block of Laurier Drive for a report of an injured person. When officers arrived, Kasyon, 20, was found suffering from life-threatening stab wounds to the chest.
She was taken to Royal University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Police said an autopsy determined she had been murdered.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to call police at 306-975-8300 or submit a tip anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
