Saskatchewan shutterbugs are about to get some significant exposure.
Tourism Saskatchewan’s annual ExploreSask photo contest started accepting entries Wednesday. The contest runs until Sept. 15.
“Amateur and professional photographers and videographers are encouraged to submit their most striking content that captures the natural beauty of Saskatchewan and tells stories about its people and communities,” the provincial government said in a media release.
The government’s release said there are six categories: People & Places; Prairie; Wildlife; Winter; Woods & Water; and Video.
The winner in each photo category is to receive a $500 Visa gift card, with the grand prize winner — selected from the five photography category winners — getting another $500 Visa gift card.
The winner of the video category is to get a $1,000 Visa gift card.
