A Saskatoon man is facing a list of gun charges after allegedly walking around with a rifle — and pointing it — in the city’s downtown core.
According to police, officers got a report of a man carrying and pointing a gun near 20th Street and First Avenue South at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
“Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old man, in the area, matching the description of the suspect,” police said in a statement.
“He appeared to have a rifle strapped to his back. Police were able to safely arrest him without further incident. In his possession was a lever action rifle.”
The 22-year-old is now facing a lengthy list of gun charges, police said, and was also charged with breaching conditions.
