Another charge of sexual assault has been filed against a former Maple Creek teacher.
In a media release Friday, the Maple Creek RCMP said it had received “an additional report of a historic sexual assault.” It alleged a man had assaulted a male youth during a sport-related trip.
As a result, 64-year-old Dexter Bacsu was arrested again Thursday and charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference. He’s to appear in Maple Creek Provincial Court on May 11.
The RCMP didn’t say if the second alleged sexual assault happened on the same trip as the first alleged incident.
The Mounties said investigators believe there could be other victims.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Maple Creek RCMP at 306-662-5550 or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
