As of Monday, it’s been two months since three men allegedly broke into a home about 20 minutes south of Stockholm on Highway 9, killed a man and injured a woman before stealing guns from the home and driving off with the victim’s vehicle.
Police said the vehicle was left burning and abandoned on a nearby grid road, explaining the suspects used another vehicle to drive to the home and used that one to flee the area.
After it happened on Friday, Feb. 10, the RCMP released some information, including sketches of three suspects the following Sunday.
However, since then, police haven’t released any more information on the break-in and killing.
When asked about the case recently, all an RCMP spokesperson had to say was that Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continue to investigate. The spokesperson said Thursday that, after releasing the suspect sketches to the public, the RCMP received a number of tips.
“Investigators continue to follow up on tips and information received,” they added. “The investigation is active and ongoing and to preserve its integrity, we have no additional details to share at this time.”
