Your house could be a very, very nice house if you’re lucky enough.
The 2023 Kinsmen Home Lottery officially launched Wednesday, offering a fully furnished $1.5-million grand prize home along with $15,000 cash as the grand prize.
The grand prize home is located in Saskatoon’s Varsity View neighbourhood, boasting 25-foot vaulted ceilings, large windows and sky lights, and Nordic design “with warm wood tones” throughout the interior.
The home was built by Mavrik Home Builders and designed by Aodbt Architecture and Interior Design.
“The principal suite feels like your own personal oasis, with a freestanding tub and beautiful spa-like shower,” the lottery organizers said in a statement.
Over the years, the lottery has raised $16 million, and according to the organizers, the funds have supported great causes like education, athletics, music and the arts.
Lottery proceeds have also gone toward care for the elderly and those living with special needs, as well as providing clothing to less-fortunate people around the community.
The home will be open for visits starting Saturday, and anyone can go to the home and take a peek between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Tickets are $100 each, and discounts can be had for those buying more than one entry. There is also a 50/50 draw and other add-ons available for more chances to take home some cash.
More information and entry information can be found on the lottery’s website.
