A goaltender with the SJHL’s Humboldt Broncos has been charged after allegedly crashing his truck into a home in that city.
The RCMP arrested 20-year-old Jared Picklyk early Saturday morning after finding his truck on a property on 12th Avenue in Humboldt.
He was charged after refusing to take a breathalyzer test.
No one was injured in the crash and the RCMP didn’t have any information on the extent of damage to the home and property.
Picklyk is scheduled to make an appearance in a Humboldt courtroom on May 8.
Meanwhile, the SJHL and the Broncos have both confirmed that Picklyk has been suspended indefinitely.
At this time, the only comment they have is that they’re fully co-operating with authorities looking into the situation.
The Broncos beat the Nipawin Hawks 6-2 on Friday to win a best-of-seven playoff series in five games. Picklyk stopped 25 shots to earn the series-clinching victory.
