Thieves broke into a gun store in Tisdale early Friday morning and took off with at least six firearms.
Three people wearing dark clothing — likely men based on their statures — broke into the store just before 2 a.m. and “stole between six to eight long guns,” the RCMP said in a release.
“At this time, police do not believe ammunition was stolen from the establishment,” the RCMP added.
One of the thieves was wearing a backpack on their front, police said, and that same person was seen in a silver Nissan Rogue at a nearby gas station just minutes before the break-in.
“Tisdale RCMP have been working diligently to identify the persons responsible and continue to follow-up on information provided to them,” police said.
“Officers are also conducting proactive patrols in the community to help maintain safety and gather any additional information that may assist with furthering the investigation.”
Anyone who recognizes the alleged thieves was urged to contact the Tisdale RCMP detachment, their local police service, or Crime Stoppers.
