Police are asking the public for information after a woman reported being sexually assaulted by two men while she was walking through Saskatoon’s downtown.
According to police, the 32-year-old woman was walking in the area of 23rd Street East and First Avenue North at around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 16 when she was approached by two strangers who reportedly “touched her in a sexual manner.”
The woman wasn’t hurt physically, police said.
Police said the suspects are two Caucasian men in their 20s, both over 5-foot-5 in height with medium builds. One of the suspects reportedly had a deep voice, police added.
One of the suspects was wearing a dark blue scarf over his face, a black toque, grey hoodie and jeans, and has brown eyes, police said. The other was wearing a blue medical mask, grey toque, black winter jacket and jeans, police said.
“Investigators are asking individuals who may have witnessed the assault or businesses in the area with video evidence that may assist in advancing the investigation to contact the Saskatoon Police Service,” police said in a statement.
