A 23-year-old Saskatoon man is facing two charges related to child pornography.
According to police, officers with Saskatchewan’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation in October, and searched a Saskatoon home in December when they seized electronic devices.
As a result of that investigation, police said 23-year-old Cruz Langan was charged with possessing child pornography and making it available.
He was released from custody “on numerous conditions,” police said, in advance of his next court date.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Langan was sentenced on Aug. 14, 2023 to one year in jail on the count of possessing child pornography and one year concurrent on the count of making it available. He also was sentenced to one year consecutive on a charge of luring. As well, he was given three years probation, ordered to provide a DNA sample and ordered to register as a sexual offender.
