Tickets are to go on sale Feb. 20 for the inaugural Roughrider Foundation Winter Classic.
Hockey teams captained by Saskatchewan Roughriders kicker Brett Lauther and former Riders receiver Rob Bagg are to meet March 18 at Saskatoon’s Merlis Belsher Place. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
Current and former Roughriders will be joined on the ice by celebrity guests during the CFL team’s fundraiser for KidSport.
“I’m so excited to be back in Saskatchewan and in front of Rider Nation,” Bagg said in a media release. “I’ve got a backyard rink here so (it) looks like I’m going to be getting up a little bit earlier and spending some time to make sure my dangles are on point.”
“While I can’t give away too many secrets yet, what I can tell you is the game is going to be lots of fun and I can’t wait to see Rider Nation pack the stands in March,” added Lauther, the team’s Roughrider Foundation and KidSport ambassador.
The event is to feature several kids’ activities, giveaways and in-game activations.
Tickets will be $25 each for people 13 and older. Children under the age of 12 will get in free if they’re accompanied by an adult.
