Two people are facing criminal charges in connection with the death of a 44-year-old Saskatoon woman.
The woman was found Tuesday morning, and later that day, police said they were treating her death as a homicide. The victim’s name has not been released at the request of her family, police said. The death, police said, marks the city’s second homicide of 2023.
On Tuesday afternoon, police said two people, a 43-year-old man and 37-year-old woman, were arrested as persons of interest.
Both have now been charged, police said Wednesday morning. The man is facing a charge of second-degree murder, police said, while the woman has been charged as an accessory to murder after the fact.
The investigation into the woman’s death is still ongoing, police noted. Anyone with information on the case was asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
