One of two people wanted by police in connection with a break-in at a home in Eston has been arrested.
According to the RCMP, Mounties from the Biggar detachment arrested Tami Falcon on Friday. She was to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Monday.
The Kindersley RCMP is still asking for the public’s help in locating Derrick Seefried. The silver BMW for which police were searching has been found, so police don’t know Seefried’s current method of travel.
Seefried is charged with breaking and entering with intent, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and fleeing police. He’s about 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds, police said, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who sees Seefried should not approach him but should call their local police service. People can reach their local RCMP detachment by calling 310-RCMP, or they can contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
According to the RCMP, officers from the Kindersley detachment got a call about a break-in at a home in Eston just after midnight on Friday. A silver car was parked outside the home when officers arrived, the RCMP said, but when they approached the car, the occupants took off, nearly hitting one of the officers.
Police caught up with the suspects on Highway 30, but weren’t able to stop the car.
RCMP officers in Rosetown spotted the car again at about 2 a.m., and once again tried to perform a traffic stop. Police said that instead of stopping, the car rammed two police vehicles and took off.
