A Prince Albert man is dead after a confrontation with police.
On Monday at around 10:40 p.m., police were called to the 400 block of South Industrial Drive.
Not much else is known at this time except that an unnamed man got into a confrontation with police and, during the altercation, a firearm was discharged.
The man who was shot was treated by EMS and transported to hospital, where he was later declared dead.
The Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) is currently investigating the officer-involved shooting. The Prince Albert Police Service says it’s fully co-operating with the investigation.
Just after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, yellow police tape was being used to cordon off sections of two parking lots in the 400 block.
