Prairieland Park can continue to rely on provincial funding for its agricultural events over the next five years.
As the Western Canadian Crop Production Show celebrates its 40th anniversary at Prairieland, the provincial government announced a renewed $150,000 agreement that will see Prairieland receive $30,000 annually for the next five years to support agriculture-related events at the park.
The Ministry of Agriculture said Wednesday the agreement will provide sponsorship support for the Crop Production Show, as well as Ag EXperience for Students, the Junior Ag Showcase, the Youth Leadership Conference and the Saskatchewan Beef Expo.
Leigh Ann Hurlburt, agriculture manager for Prairieland, said provincial support helps the events thrive.
“The success of our events is largely due to the longstanding support and generosity of the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture,” Hurlburt said in a statement.
