Saskatoon police have filed more charges against the 48-year-old woman charged in August after faking her death and that of a minor.
On Tuesday, the Saskatoon Police Service’s Economic Crime Section charged the woman with procurement to be made and possess identity documents, forging a passport, providing a false statement in relation to a passport, possession of a forged passport, possession of forged documents, identity theft, and identity fraud.
The woman previously was charged with abduction and mischief. She also is charged in the United States with using false identification documents.
The woman disappeared from Saskatoon on July 24. After an extensive two-week search, she was found Aug. 5 in Oregon City, Ore., where she was arrested.
She was released on conditions after a bail hearing in Saskatoon on Sept. 2. Her next court appearance is set for Nov. 21 at 9:30 a.m.
