A 16-year-old boy has turned himself into police in connection with a gun call at a Saskatoon high school Monday.
The teen appeared at Saskatoon Police Service headquarters Wednesday and was charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, breach of conditions and several other firearm-related offences.
In a media release Monday, police said officers were called to the school in the 2200 block of Rusholme Road at about 2:30 p.m. The release didn’t identify the school, but Mount Royal Collegiate is in that block of Rusholme.
Police were told bear spray had been deployed and one suspect had brandished a gun before fleeing. A male victim reportedly was hit with bear spray.
