8:30– Yesterday, Saskatchewan’s Chief Coroner, Clive Weighill, announced that an inquest will examine the stabbings that occurred over the Labor day weekend at James Smith Cree Nation. A separate inquest will examine Myles Sanderson, the suspect that died in police custody. Clive Weighill joins Gormley with this story.

11:00 – Michael Garnett and his wife Rebecca Rider made their way to Ukraine to help refugees who are fleeing the Russian invasion back in May. They helped others by purchasing suitcases and helped refugees with visa applications and airfare. Today he is the Co-Founder of the non profit HelpfromCanada.org which brings refugees from Europe to Canada. He joins us with an update on the work he has been doing.

12:00 – Saskatchewan author Montgomery Colt joins Gormley to talk about his new book which takes place in the west in Llano County Texas in the late 1800’s. The book follows John Barringer, a carpenter living a “simple life” who discovers a mother lode of rare earth minerals in his newly acquired property.
