Many places in southern Saskatchewan have dealt with thunderstorm warnings and watches throughout Sunday.
Environment Canada’s David Knight confirmed a system was expected to start in central Saskatchewan Sunday morning and move east towards the Manitoba border throughout the afternoon.
Several people in parts of Saskatoon reported significant rainfall and swirling winds on Sunday morning.
Some people in the region also reported damage to trees as a result of these strong winds.

As of Sunday afternoon, there are thunderstorm watches in place for the Carlyle, Regina, Moose Jaw, Estevan, Fort Qu’Appelle and Moosomin areas.
More areas could see watches and warnings throughout the day.
