8:30 – Justin Trudeau’s private trip with the Aga Khan in 2016 continues to cause trouble for the prime minister. This week, documents revealed that the RCMP considered charging Trudeau with fraud over the trip, which saw the PM travel to the Aga Khan’s private Bahamas residence at Bell Cay. Toronto Sun Columnist Brian Lilley says the RCMP got the investigation wrong. According to Lilley, the Ethics Commissioner had already found the vacation was an illegal violation of the Conflict of Interest Act, and the police failed to interview Trudeau during the course of their investigation. Canada’s Conservative Opposition MPs are calling on the police to take a second look at the charges, and Lilley joins Gormley to explain why the Aga Khan trip continues to be a thorn in Trudeau’s side.
