A Prince Albert Police Service officer is recovering from a minor injury after being hit in the head with a large rock.
Last Friday, officers spotted a man throwing a rock at a house at 19th Street and Sixth Avenue East.
The man fled on foot. He was found along 21st Street East, where he proceeded to throw a rock at the officers’ vehicle, damaging the front passenger-side window.
The man threw another rock, this time hitting one of the officers in the head. The officer suffered a minor injury.
The 28-year-old man has since been charged with assaulting an officer, damaging a police vehicle, and breach of court conditions.
