A second person has died in the wake of a fatal crash near Martensville.
The RCMP confirmed the teenage driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was involved in the two-vehicle crash has died in hospital.
On April 9, a member of the Warman RCMP observed the Jeep driving erratically on Highway 12. The officer attempted to stop the Jeep, which kept driving at a high rate of speed.
The Jeep, driving on the wrong side of the highway, collided with a northbound SUV, according to the RCMP.
The driver of the SUV, a 30-year-old pregnant woman, died at the scene. Her passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The family of the teen who died has been notified. The RCMP said it won’t be releasing his name or age.
The RCMP has described the investigation as “complex” and doesn’t have further details to release at this time.
