The Saskatchewan Roughriders are adding another new face to their defence ahead of training camp.
The CFL team announced Tuesday it has signed American defensive back TJ Morrison to a contract.
Morrison, who spent four collegiate seasons with the Stony Brook Seawolves, had signed as an undrafted free agent with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021.
In college, the New York product made 109 career defensive tackles and recorded one sack, two interceptions, 18 pass deflections and one fumble recovery.
Morrison, who was voted a captain in his senior season, was nominated for the National Football Foundation’s William V. Campbell Trophy — an award given to the American college football player with the best combination of academics, community service and on-field performance.
