Previous snowfall warnings for the southeast corner of Saskatchewan were lifted on Sunday, but more snow is expected to make its way to the region throughout the week.
Eric Dykes with Environment Canada says the area can’t seem to catch a break.
“We have more snow coming our way and depending upon if you’d like skiing or snowmobiling, this is probably a very happy forecast,” Dykes said. “But, what will make it unpleasant is that we will have below seasonal temperatures for this week.”
Parts of the southeast saw roughly 10 centimetres, or up to four inches of snow on Sunday in what was another spring layer of the white stuff.
A few centimetres are expected to fall on Tuesday, with a chance for some rain on Wednesday.
A brief reprieve is expected before there is a chance for more precipitation to come down in the south by the weekend.
“Take that with a grain of salt for now because I suspect there is a chance that might change later in the week,” Dykes claimed.
