The Riders are postseason bound in 2024 after the 24-28 win.
The biggest lottery jackpot won in Western Canada has been won by someone in Saskatchewan.
The $70-million Lotto Max jackpot is the largest one won in the lottery region and is the biggest in Saskatchewan’s history by $10 million.
On April 1, a ticket sold in Alberta was flagged as having matched all seven winning numbers for the jackpot.
A day after the draw, the winner stepped forward and it was determined they lived in Saskatchewan. They’re to be introduced Tuesday in Regina.
The jackpot win is the biggest of a six-month run of winners coming from the province. During that time, people in the province have won a combined $200 million.
The previous top prize ever won by a Saskatchewan resident was a $60-million prize in 2016.
