Mayor Charlie Clark will be taking it easy at home for the next while.
Clark revealed online Thursday he had contracted COVID-19 and was experiencing mild symptoms.
After two years of managing to avoid the virus, today I tested positive for COVID-19. My symptoms are mild and I will be working from home for the next few days.

Clark is encouraging anyone who has been in contact with him to monitor their symptoms closely.
Word of the mayor’s diagnosis came on the same day the province announced 1,000 new cases of the virus during its weekly COVID-19 update.
