The University of Saskatchewan Huskies came up short against the No. 1 team in the country Saturday night.
The Concordia Stingers ultimately defeated the Huskies 2-0 in the U Sports National Semi-Final round, sending the Dawgs to the Bronze Medal Game.
Concordia outshot Saskatchewan 39-20, while Huskies goaltender Camryn Drever made 37 of 39 shots.
The Huskies will still have a chance for a spot on the podium when they face the University of New Brunswick Reds on Sunday afternoon.
A chance for the second-ever medal on the National stage will be up for grabs for the Huskies. In the 2013-14 season, the Dawgs took home the Bronze medal.
The tournament is being played in Charlottetown, P.E.I.
