The Saskatchewan Health Authority says it’s aware of scam text messages that are making the rounds.
One coming from a Manitoba phone number said the SHA is paying people $100 to get a COVID-19 vaccination. The text message includes a link to apply for the payment.
The SHA reminded people who receive those texts that it only sends out text messages to confirm a booked appointment or to notify them of a PCR test result.
“The Saskatchewan Health Authority does not provide payments to individuals receiving the COVID-19 vaccine,” the authority added in an emailed statement.
❗️ ICYMI: ❗️The SHA is aware of several scam text messages. Please be careful. The ONLY texts you will receive from the SHA are for:
1. Confirmation of a booked appointment
2. Auto-notification of PCR test results— Saskatchewan Health Authority (@SaskHealth) March 25, 2022
