Prince Albert police investigating after two-year-old found dead

A two-year-old girl was found dead at a residence on Third Avenue West in Prince Albert on Sunday, prompting an investigation by the Prince Albert Police Service.

Officers with the Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Unit continue to investigate. Members of the public were told Monday to expect an increased presence of police in the area for most of the day.

P.A. police received the call Sunday to assist Parkland Ambulance, which was responding to a call of an unconscious infant just before 1:30 p.m.

No arrests have been made. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
