Montréal RCMP say a suspect wanted on a Canada-wide warrant may be in Saskatoon.
Police released information Wednesday stating 31-year-old Muhidiin Ahmed Farah regularly travels to the prairie city by train.
Farah is wanted in connection to a violent attack in early May.
RCMP allege that Farah and an accomplice, Daniel Khet, brutally attacked a man with a gun as he was going to his motel room in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.
The victim reportedly tried to get away using an emergency exit, but came face-to-face with the suspects, who again attacked him.
Farah and Khet allegedly escaped on foot, but a surveillance camera helped investigators identify them as suspects.
Khet was arrested June 2 and appeared at the Court of Québec on charges of armed robbery and several firearm-related counts.
RCMP said Farah has ties to street gangs and has been involved in pimping.
Police describe Farah as dark-skinned with brown eyes and black hair. He is around six feet tall and weighs 187 pounds.
Farah is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is asked not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.
