A 34-year-old man from Blaine Lake has been charged in connection with the death of a woman more than three years ago near the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation.
In a media release Monday, the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit said Stephen David James Greyeyes had been arrested and charged with second-degree murder and offering an indignity to a body.
On Nov. 25, 2018, Blaine Lake RCMP got a report that 66-year-old Deanna Greyeyes was missing. She was found dead the next day in a rural area near the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation.
Stephen Greyeyes was arrested Friday. The Mounties didn’t provide details on the accused’s relationship with the dead woman.
Greyeyes is to make his next appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Feb. 14.
