Did the entire landscape of the NFL playoffs shift with one player?
It could have. Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry was likely running away with the NFL MVP award until a foot injury at the end of October put his season in jeopardy.
Henry is practising once again and might even be able to play this weekend as the Titans try to wrap up top spot in the AFC and earn a bye in the playoffs.
The Titans running back is still sixth in the league in rushing and he has missed half the season.
The Titans are already a powerful team with Ryan Tannehill proving all he needed was a team around him to be a successful quarterback, as he was painted as a draft bust in Miami. The Titans, who also come with one of the best defences in the AFC, were 7-2 when Henry got hurt and 4-3 without him.
If the AFC rolls through Tennessee and the Titans have Derrick Henry running the ball, I think it won’t be such a hard thing to see a Packers-Titans Super Bowl next month.
