A 24-year-old man from Tisdale is facing more than a 15-yard penalty for running onto the field at Mosaic Stadium during a Saskatchewan Roughriders game.
The Regina Police Service said Friday the fully clothed man jumped onto the field during last Saturday’s CFL game between the Roughriders and Edmonton Elks and ran from the south end zone to the north end zone.
When he ran up the steps to the concourse, he was arrested by a police officer.
The man was charged with mischief, which applies in the Criminal Code to anyone who wilfully “obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property.”
He was released on an undertaking with conditions not to go to Mosaic Stadium. He’s to make his first court appearance on Dec. 29.
