Saskatoon’s generosity has shined again.
Rock 102 collected more than 2,000 coats and winter accessories on Saturday for its Coats for Kids campaign.
“Every year, we see how important it is for kids to have warm coats, toques, mittens and boots for the winter,” said Rock 102’s Morning Show host, Shack.
“There are families who need help purchasing these items for their children. We are thrilled to have filled 12 truckloads of coats for kids and raised $28,401 — this is really going to make a difference to so many kids and families. Saskatoon really came through.”
All donated winter items will be distributed to children in Saskatoon elementary schools through Care and Share from Nov. 22 to Nov. 26.
Care and Share’s mission is to ensure all children have an opportunity to develop their potential in sports, in school, in culture and in recreation.
