10:00 – In just eight days’ time, Saskatchewan residents will need to present proof they’ve been vaccinated or a negative COVID-19 test to get into restaurants, bars, and event venues anywhere in the province. Jim Bence, who heads Hospitality Saskatchewan, joins Gormley and Wall to tell us how the industry is preparing for the new requirement, and whether there are any concerns around enforcing the new rules.

10:30 – STARS, the air ambulance service that saves lives in Saskatchewan, is raising funds for new equipment through the Pegasus Project. The initiative, started by a group of car enthusiast, involves the creation of a custom-built 1968 Ford Mustang 427 Coupe, which will be featured at the International SEMA Convention in Las Vegas in November before hitting the auction block at Barrett-Jackson in Arizona in January, with proceeds going to STARS. Saskatoon-born actor Kim Coates, star of ‘Sons of Anarchy,’ is the ambassador for the project, and he joins Gormley and Wall to tell us more.

12:00 – An award-winning documentary is now free to watch on YouTube. ‘Guardians of the Grasslands’ is a short documentary produced by Ducks Unlimited Canada, the Nature Conservancy of Canada and the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association, outlining the role of cattle in preserving the prairie ecosystems. The film did an 18-month run on the film festival circuit, but now you can watch it online for free. Amie Peck with the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association joins Gormley and Wall to tell us more about the film and the importance of cattle to Canada’s natural environment.
