The Department of National Defence (DND) removed a military ordnance from a home near Ashworth Holmes Park Thursday morning.
An ordnance is defined as military supplies and can include weapons, ammunition, combat vehicles, maintenance tools and other military equipment.
Saskatoon police say the device was found during a clean-up of the home, located in the 1000 block of Avenue F North.
Around 11 a.m., police were called to the home where the item was discovered. Police then alerted the DND to examine old munition.
It was determined the Second World War device was inert and it was removed.
