8:30 – Saskatchewan’s provincial fire ban was renewed for five more days Wednesday, as hot conditions are making conditions better for wildfires. There are currently 130 wildfires burning around the province, and 26 of those are uncontained. There have been 365 fires so far in the province this season, well above the five-year average of 209. Saskatchewan’s public safety officials are considering bringing in out-of-province firefighters to help control the fires, and Steve Roberts with the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency joins Gormley to share the latest.

12:00 – Former CTV broadcaster Tara Robinson has taken over the top posting at Regina’s RCMP Heritage Centre. Robinson says it’s a profound honour to be chosen for the role, and she plans to work to further truth and reconciliation while confronting some of the more painful parts of the RCMP’s history. 12:15 – Jess Moskaluke, award-winning country musician and pride of Langenburg, Saskatchewan, got the rare opportunity to sing Canada’s national anthem at the MLB All-Star game in Denver Tuesday night. Canadian talent was on full display, as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Blue Jays was awarded the MVP title, and Moskaluke showed off Canadian musical talent behind the mic. Moskaluke joins Gormley to tell us about the experience.
