8:30 – Sunday is the big day, with Saskatchewan set to drop all of its COVID restrictions. Many are celebrating the news and the progress we’ve made in our fight against the virus, but others are concerned that big gatherings and the absence of preventative measures could lead to further outbreaks and another wave of the pandemic. Whenever public opinion is divided, we put the question to you in one of Gormley’s patented Reality Checks: Do you think Saskatchewan is ready to drop all COVID restrictions? Call 1-877-332-8255 and add your voice to our poll!

11:15 – During Saskatchewan’s COVID pandemic, people and groups around the province have stepped up in big ways to help each other out. With our restrictions set to drop Sunday, here’s your chance to shout out the heroes and helpers who went above and beyond to help others. From frontline healthcare workers to teachers going the extra mile and neighbours stepping up to lend a hand, call or text 1-877-332-8255 and help recognize the people who did great work around Saskatchewan during the pandemic.
12:00 – Saskatoon swimmer Shelby Newkirk will be representing Canada at the Paralympics in Tokyo, which run from Aug. 24 – Sept. 5. Newkirk was diagnosed with dystonia, a neurological condition that affects nerve cells responsible for muscle contractions, but that hasn’t stopped her from setting a dozen Canadian records and a world record in the water. Newkirk joins Gormley to share some of her story, and tell us about what she’s expecting at the 2020 Games.
