A 24-year-old man is facing charges after police attended a call about an injured one-year-old earlier this year.
On Feb. 14, Warman RCMP received a request to investigate injuries sustained by a one-year-old child in Martensville. An RCMP release says the request was made by one of the child’s parents.
Upon investigation, it was determined the child was seriously injured at a Martensville home on Feb. 12. The child was taken to hospital for treatment.
The man is charged with aggravated assault. He is known to the toddler.
The RCMP says the man’s name will not be released publicly as it could identify the injured child.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 12.
