It started off as a routine traffic stop Monday for Maidstone RCMP that ended with two in custody on drug and theft charges.
RCMP said the pair had illegal tobacco in their possession, which led to a vehicle search. There, methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and an undisclosed amount of cash were found.
Following the initial seizure, Saskatchewan RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime North (FSOC-N) executed a search warrant at an associated home in Waldheim. There, more methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl were found, along with prescription pills, a modified shotgun, two tasers and over $30,000 in cash.
According to the release, the amount of fentanyl seized represented over 2,000 individual doses.
The two were charged with five counts each. Currently, further charges are pending.
Forty-eight-year-old Jenna Beamish and 28-year-old Dylan Bendall, both of Waldheim, have been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. In addition, one count each of possession of property obtained by crime less than $5,000 and possession of unstamped tobacco products.
Borth Beamish and Bendall are scheduled to appear in court on March 22 in Lloydminster.
