The search for a missing Regina teen was called off after his body was discovered Tuesday.
The body of 15-year-old Jaxon MacDonald was found shortly before noon on an island in Madge Lake at Duck Mountain Provincial Park, according to Kamsack RCMP.
“Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time,” a news release from RCMP said.
No further information will be released by RCMP as the investigation is ongoing.
Police, search and rescue teams and family members entered the third day of searches Tuesday after MacDonald was last seen about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, when he left a cottage in the Jubilee Subdivision to walk to another residence nearby.
His family had issued a $100,000 reward for information about his whereabouts.
