There’s another option to get tested for COVID-19 in Regina.
Haztech is offering PCR and rapid testing for anyone who is asymptomatic, for a fee.
The health-care and safety company has received approval and provincial licensing to process tests at its medical lab in Regina.
“All tests are available in our Health Centre or we can come to you in the comfort and safety of your home,” Shawn Hazen, CEO of Haztech, said in a media release.
The tests range from $100 for a rapid test with results back in 15 minutes to $260 for a rushed PCR test with results in 24 hours. A PCR test has to be sent away to a lab for confirmation, which normally takes longer than one day.
Haztech will provide testing certificates for travel and other purposes after each test.
The company is also looking to expand, with a lab to Saskatoon. With its mobile health units, Haztech is also working to make tests available in nearby rural and Indigenous communities.
