Mike Babcock has been happy to lay low and we know why after his media tour on Tuesday.
He joined the Green Zone and others.
You start to understand why he kept low. The haters and those unwilling to give Babcock a second chance were quick to criticize. Plenty of those hail from the biggest hockey market on the planet, the place we like to call the centre of the universe.
We have to balance what Babcock told us, that there are things you regret in life.
And in the uber-competitive world of professional sports, you can only imagine what might get tossed around in the heat of the moment.
Babcock is willing to accept responsibility to a certain extent but also wanted to defend himself against the accusations he’s some evil bully.
He also knew this was part of the process to get back into the limelight. He needed to face the music, answer the questions.
Everyone will have an opinion. But for now, Babcock can get back to hockey and can potentially slowly start changing the minds of some who don’t think he deserves this second chance.
